Event Notes

Race 1 of the WSTC Triathlon series will be held at the usual location on the Altona Beach foreshore. Please see the Course Maps link for the location of the club rooms for check-in/registration.

COVID-19 Notes

With current restrictions in place we need to make some significant changes. Information will be provided prior to the event outlining all the specific details.

A few important points to note right now.

1.EVENT BRIEFING - An online video (coming soon) will be made available for viewing prior to the event. There will be a SIGNIFICANT change to the bike course including the turnaround at Apex park and the closed road 'Pop up area" in front of the club rooms. There will also be some changes to the run course. It is imperative you watch the video prior to the event as there will be no onsite briefing on the day.

2. The clubrooms will be closed. There will be NO member or public entry to the clubrooms. Contactless registration will take place on the reserve opposite transition. Cnr Davies and Esplanade, Altona. You will need to bring the QR code received as part of your race confirmation email. You CANNOT check in without this QR code.

3. All participants are encouraged to "get in, swim/bike/run and get out", at the conclusion of the event. Whilst this is not how we like to operate, it's imperative to minimise public gathering numbers to ensure we meet Govt COVID-19 requirements.

4. We further ask that you do not bring spectators with you. However, a parent or guardian is required to attend if a child is participating in the event. For contact tracing purposes any spectator present is requested to check in via the QR codes located around the finish/transition area.

5. We will be running two time slots for events, 7.00am and 8.00am. You will be allocated to a time slot. Each will have different registration times.

Event Distances
All events distances and disciplines are noted below.

Enticer Event: 400m swim, 12.5km ride and 3km run
Dash Event: 300m swim, 6.25km ride, 2km run
Enticer Aquabike Event: 400m swim, 12.5km ride
Enticer Aquathon Event: 400m swim, 5km run

Modifications to the event distances and/or type can be done at the discretion of the Race Director based on the conditions presented on the day of the event.

Race Briefing
Race briefings for each event generally start 15 minutes prior to the advertised commencement times. The Race Director will provide details as to the course and any changes/alterations made due to conditions as well as general information on safety throughout the event. Please ensure you are in close proximity to the Finish area at this time.

Registration commences from 6:150am - 6:45am for all registered competitors. Due to COVID there will be no on the day entries.
